This is the moment Met officers uncovered hundreds of illegal zombie knives destined for London’s streets. Around 650 illegal zombie knives were seized before they could be distributed, following a Met investigation into a man who imported and sold prohibited weapons online – including to people he knew were schoolchildren. Detectives uncovered evidence of the weapons being ordered in bulk from overseas and distributed through a wider criminal network. Officers worked to identify shipments and buyers, intercepting the weapons before they could reach communities. The man responsible, Jonathan Soares, 20, has pleaded guilty to 12 offences following the investigation.
