On May 8, 2022, at approximately 7:48 PM, Patrolman Michael of the Sparta Township Police Department observed a 2015 Toyota Camry traveling northbound on Route 15 at a speed of approximately 85 miles per hour in a posted 55 MPH zone. Due to the excessive speed, Patrolman Patrolman requested assistance from another officer positioned ahead to initiate a traffic stop. Patrolwoman Arlene Lippencott successfully conducted the motor vehicle stop near the 14-mile marker on Route 15 Northbound. The driver was identified as Stacey Gilligan. Upon initial contact, the driver was advised of the reason for the stop. Patrolman arrived on scene shortly thereafter.
