On October 20, 2024, Lakewood police officers were dispatched to the Lakewood Truck Park, a local patio bar with food trucks, where a drunk woman was unable to care for herself. Officer Dulik gave the woman two options: call a sober adult to pick her up or go to jail. She ended going to jail, but not before becoming belligerent and insufferable, especially once she was placed in the back of the police car. She was released a few hours later and somehow managed to make it about 3 miles from the police station. At that point, another person called the police department to report that the woman was sitting on the curb and appeared unable to care for herself. Police responded again, made contact with the woman, and arrested for her a 2nd time. On both occasions, she was cited for Disorderly Conduct and given a court date. All suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
