On July 2, 2026, police responded to a reported verbal disturbance after a woman called 911 claiming her boyfriend was being "mean" to her. Officers found her visibly intoxicated and trying to explain what had happened. After gathering her belongings, she left the residence, and the incident appeared to be over. Less than an hour later, officers were dispatched again after she placed six 911 calls over a missing identification card while repeatedly arguing with telecommunicators. When officers located her near Smathers Beach, they offered to complete a lost property report, but the encounter quickly escalated. During the encounter, she repeatedly accused an officer of failing to return her identification card, refused to cooperate, yelled profanities in a public area, and ignored repeated commands to stay out of the roadway. The incident ended after she lay down in an active travel lane as vehicles approached, leading to her arrest. She was charged with Misuse of 911 Services and Disorderly Intoxication. She later posted bond and was released from jail. Court records show both misdemeanor charges were formally filed. After failing to appear for arraignment, a bench warrant was issued. Note: The portion of the body-worn camera recorded inside the residence was not included in the released footage, so what happened to the missing identification card cannot be independently confirmed from the video. During the second encounter, officers stated that the identification card had already been returned during the earlier response and reviewed the footage. #bodycam #police #cops #bwc #policebodycamera #copcam #copcar #arrest #arrested #bwc Disclaimer: All individuals featured are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
