Officers from the Millburn Police Department were dispatched to the vicinity of a shopping center in Short Hills, New Jersey, for an active incident. During the encounter, law enforcement engaged with an individual who was subsequently taken into custody for hindering apprehension or prosecution under New Jersey statute 2C 29-3. The subject was handcuffed, searched, and placed into marked patrol Unit 9 for transport. They were then taken to Millburn Police Headquarters where they were securely processed without incident. Body-worn cameras and vehicle cameras recorded the entirety of the interaction and the subsequent transport by the responding patrol unit. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty
