On July 16, 2024, Cuyahoga Falls Police Officers were called to a shoplifting in progress. Loss prevention personnel were monitoring a woman who was stuffing bottles of alcohol down her pants. When she exited the store, officers detained her and attempted to escort her to a police vehicle. However, she attempted to flee on foot and was quickly tackled and taken down to the ground. In the process, one of the concealed glass bottles in her pants shattered, causing cuts to the her leg. She was transported by EMS to the local hospital. Once released, she was taken to jail for booking. Her charges and the outcome of her case are discussed at the end of the video.
