On August 20, 2025, Monmouth Beach Police Patrolman Golembieski stopped a vehicle after he observed several traffic violations. The vehicle was being driven by a 33-year-old woman who claimed that she was an Uber driver. Due to her erratic driving, the woman was asked to step out of the vehicle in order to perform standardized field sobriety tests. Due to her performance on the tests, she was placed under arrest for Operating Under the Influence of Liquor or Drugs. She was transported to police headquarters, where she refused to submit to a breath test. She was given 6 traffic summonses and was released to a sober party. Her case is still open and all suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
