On December 4, 2025, an Ormond Beach Police Department sergeant attempted to stop a vehicle traveling 88 mph on U.S. 1. According to the sergeant, the vehicle kept going for roughly two miles with his lights and sirens active while other traffic yielded, drove around the yielding cars, and went around stop sticks before finally pulling over. When officers conducted a felony stop at gunpoint, the driver was identified as a Flagler County Sheriff's Office detective from the Major Case Unit, Ardit Coma. One of the responding officers recognized him from the police academy. Coma was arrested for felony fleeing and eluding. During the stop, Coma told the sergeant he never saw or heard him, explaining that his unmarked vehicle's windows were heavily tinted, the morning was dewy, and he had music playing. He said he had no reason to flee, and he apologized. He did not dispute the speed. The State Attorney's Office later declined to prosecute, and the fleeing and eluding charge was dropped. Coma's own agency disciplined him internally for the speeding. In April 2026, Coma filed a federal lawsuit against the City of Ormond Beach and the arresting sergeant, alleging false arrest and that there was no probable cause beyond a speeding violation. The case is unresolved. No narration. No filler. Just the footage and the facts on screen, exactly how it happened. Full case archive: bodycamzero.com An arrest is not a conviction.
