On November 15, 2025, in Quincy, California, California Highway Patrol officers responded to assist the Plumas County Sheriff’s Office with a suspected DUI driver on Plumie Way near Bradley Street. Plumas County Sheriff’s deputies had stopped a white Ford Escape after the vehicle reportedly struck a metal trash can and attempted to leave the area. When California Highway Patrol officers arrived and contacted the driver, they learned the driver was an off-duty Plumas County Correctional Officer. During the investigation, CHP officers observed several indicators commonly associated with alcohol impairment, including the odor of an alcoholic beverage, bloodshot and watery eyes, and slurred speech. The driver was asked to perform a series of field sobriety tests, during which officers documented multiple indicators of impairment. A preliminary alcohol screening (PAS) test was administered at the scene and reportedly produced results of 0.214% and 0.230% BAC. Following the on-scene investigation, the driver was taken into custody for suspected driving under the influence. Additional evidential breath samples were later obtained at the California Highway Patrol Quincy Area Office, both reportedly measuring approximately 0.21% BAC, which is more than twice the legal limit in California. The driver was later booked into the Plumas County Jail. Charges listed in the arrest report include: • CVC 23152(a) — Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol • CVC 23152(b) — Driving with a Blood Alcohol Concentration Over 0.08% • CVC 23578 — Blood Alcohol Concentration of 0.15% or Higher California Highway Patrol officers involved: • Officer Lindell — ID 23990 • Sergeant Parsons — ID 18726 • Officer De La Mora — ID 24596 Plumas County Sheriff’s Office personnel involved: • Sergeant Meisenheimer — ID 1S1 • Deputy Diltz — ID 203 All individuals are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
