On February 8, 2025, Moline Police Officers were dispatched to a reckless driver call. Officer Hernandez located the described vehicle stuck in a ditch and made contact with the 18-year-old woman behind the wheel. The woman denied several times that she consumed alcohol. Officer Hernandez asked the woman to step out of the vehicle and subsequently noted that she stumbled and struggled to maintain her balance. The woman was asked to perform standardized field sobriety tests. At the conclusion of the tests, she was placed under arrest for Driving Under the Influence (DUI). She was transported to the Moline Police Station, where she agreed to provide a breath sample. The result was 0.235% (more than 11 times the legal limit for a person under the age of 21).
