Reckless E-Bike Rider Flees From Deputy... Regrets It Instantly! Deputy Murphy was conducting routine traffic enforcement when he observed a red e-bike rider fail to yield to an oncoming vehicle while proceeding through an active intersection. Seeing the dangerous hazard, the deputy activated emergency lights to initiate a traffic stop. Rather than stopping, the rider attempted to flee on the e-bike, attempting to evade law enforcement through local streets. Once deputies cornered the rider, he challenged their authority, arguing that e-bikes were exempt from traffic laws and refusing to provide identification. Despite repeated explanations and lawful commands, the rider attempted to maneuver away, prompting deputies to physically intervene and take him into custody for fleeing and resisting an officer.
