Del Norte County Crescent City California On March 17, 2024, in Crescent City California, a Toyota truck was stolen out of a driveway after the owner left his keys inside his truck. Luckily for the trucks owner California Highway Patrol officers located the truck on Elk Valley Road turning onto Maiden Lane and began chasing it into the Ruth Compound. The Driver Larry Wettengel jumped out of the truck and fled on foot through the Ruth Compound eventually being apprehended by Del Norte County Sheriff's deputies. Larry Dean Wettengel was arrested and booked into Del Norte County Jail on the following charges: 10851(A) - Take Vehicle W/O Owner's Consent 2800.2(A - Evasion - Wanton Disregard for Safety #delnorte #pursuit #CHP #california
