On May 19, 2025, Pullman Police Officer St. Andre observed the driver of a vehicle commit several traffic violations. Officer St. Andre initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle, which was being driven by a 21-year-old woman. When Officer St. Andre approached the vehicle, the driver was on her cell phone with a man who was telling her to "tell them you are sick". The woman immediately got emotional and said, "I am drunk". She was asked to step out of her vehicle, and after walking over to the sidewalk, she laid down on the ground and begged Officer St. Andre to be her mommy. The woman was too intoxicated to perform field sobriety tests and she could not provide an adequate breath sample for a portable breath test. As a result, she was placed under arrest for Driving Under the Influence. She was transported to the Pullman Police Station holding facility where she submitted evidentiary breath samples. Her lowest reading was 0.210% BAC. Her charges and the outcome of her case are discussed at the end of the video.
