Texas Safety Watch shares body camera footage strictly for educational and public awareness purposes. On Valentine’s Day in Albuquerque, New Mexico, what started as a routine warrant service quickly escalated into one of the most significant accidental drug busts of the year. Albuquerque Police officers arrived at a hotel to serve a felony warrant related to a robbery investigation. When the door was opened, officers immediately observed a firearm and drug paraphernalia in plain view. Moments later, 28 year old Xavier Garcia fled the scene, leading police on a foot chase through the hotel. Despite claims of harassment, a lawful search of the hotel room uncovered a shocking discovery. Investigators located multiple firearms, including an assault style rifle, over $47,000 in cash, and more than one million dollars worth of fentanyl and cocaine. What began as a simple knock on the door exposed a much larger narcotics operation. At Texas Safety Watch, our mission is to share real police bodycam footage and public safety incidents to promote awareness, accountability, and transparency.
