Swiftly locating a silver 2015 Hyundai slowly veering towards a landscaping trailer, the officer initiated a traffic stop. Upon making contact, the driver, visibly distraught and claiming to be experiencing a panic attack, simultaneously presented several indicators consistent with impairment, raising immediate concerns. Given the initial officer's extra duty status, backup units were promptly called to assume control of the comprehensive DUI investigation, marking a critical transition in the encounter. Officers then proceeded to administer a series of standardized field sobriety exercises in a residential area, a key phase to assess the driver's physical and cognitive abilities. This specific footage captures the detailed instructions for the Walk and Turn test, a critical component designed to evaluate balance and coordination. During this test, the driver was observed to struggle significantly, failing to maintain heel-to-toe contact, executing an improper turn, and taking an incorrect number of steps, despite clear and repeated instructions.
