In a bizarre and unsettling scene, Florida police officers handcuffed and detained a Chuck E. Cheese employee in full costume after accusations of using a stolen credit card. Newly released bodycam footage from July 23 in Tallahassee captures the surreal moment when law enforcement interrupted the pizza-loving rodent mid-performance while entertaining children at the popular family restaurant. The video shows Officer Jarrett Cruz approaching the costumed character, saying, "Chuck E.'s a little bit busy, ma'am... Chuck E., come with me, Chuck E." Officers then struggled briefly near the "Cars" and "SpongeBob SquarePants" arcade games to detain the man inside the mouse suit—later identified as 41-year-old Jermel Jones. As the situation unfolded, officers repeatedly instructed the suspect: "Chuck E., stop resisting, stop resisting. You're being detained, stop resisting. Do not cause a scene here, sir." Parents and children watched in confusion and concern as "Chuck E." was led out of the restaurant in handcuffs. One mother could be seen shielding her child from the potentially traumatizing moment. Jones, the man behind the iconic costume, was arrested on charges of stealing and using a customer's credit card. This unusual incident has left both adults and kids questioning what really happened behind the scenes at Chuck E. Cheese that day. 🔔 Subscribe for more updates on this story and other shocking moments caught on camera! #ChuckECheese #Florida #Arrest #BodycamFootage #StolenCreditCard #UnusualNews
