Clayton County BAT units locate a stolen vehicle (a Kia) in the city of Riverdale. As soon as deputies attempt to initiate a traffic stop, the suspect immediately flees, initiating a high-speed chase. As the pursuit continues, deputies observe the suspect driving recklessly. Sheriff Levon Allen, Sheriff of Clayton County, then orders the units to "get the vehicle off the road" over the radio. Seeing a break in the traffic, deputies successfully utilize the PIT (Precision Immobilization Technique) maneuver, spinning the vehicle out and disabling it. Deputies are then able to apprehend the uninjured suspect without any further incidents. This instance showcases the dangers of fleeing from law enforcement yet again.
