Mercer County, Ohio Mercer County Sheriff's Office August 7th, 2020 --- Officers received a call about a man on a bicycle who was struck by a truck and launched into a ditch. Prior to arriving the man was declared deceased. The suspect was identified at the scene as 57 year old Lawrence Meyer. Lawrence complied with police and consented to a blood withdrawal to check for any intoxicants. He was not under the influence of alcohol or any illegal drugs. Lawrence was previously convicted of Vehicular Homicide in 2000.
