On March 5th, 2023, while monitoring traffic in Florida, an officer noticed a Kia Forte with its high beams activated, failing to respond to signals to deactivate them. Leading the officer to initiate a traffic stop of the vehicle. Upon contact, the female driver refused to open her window further for the officer and ignored instructions to exit the vehicle. The situation escalated when the suspect refused multiple orders to leave her vehicle, stating she would call 911. The officer informed the driver that if she called 911, she would go to jail for misuse of 911. The officer ordered the driver several times to exit the vehicle, or he would break the driver's side window to gain access to the vehicle. The driver continued to ignore commands as the officer broke the window. After breaking the window, the driver physically resisted the officer and refused the exit, leading the officer to deploy pepper spray. Afterward, the suspect was placed under arrest and given on-site medical attention. The suspect was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital for medical clearance before being cleared for transport to jail.
