Little Rock, Arkansas — What begins as a routine shoplifting call quickly escalates into a physical police encounter. Officers observe a male suspect attempting to walk out of a store with a bicycle that had not been paid for. When confronted, officers advise the suspect to return and pay for the merchandise. Instead, the suspect continues toward the grocery-side exit, attempting to leave the store without paying. As the suspect exits, the store alarm activates, indicating concealed stolen merchandise. Officers issue lawful commands for the suspect to return and surrender the stolen items. The suspect initially appears compliant but suddenly throws a stolen backpack at officers and attempts to flee the scene. Officers immediately pursue and take the suspect to the ground, securing one wrist in handcuffs. The suspect refuses to comply with commands to provide his free hand, prompting officers to use a wrist lock control technique to safely gain compliance. After repeated lawful commands, the suspect complies and is fully taken into custody. police bodycam, bodycam footage, bicycle theft arrest, shoplifting arrest, retail theft police, resisting arrest footage, police takedown, officer involved confrontation, crime caught on camera, little rock police department, arkansas police bodycam, real police footage, police activity video
