Officers respond to a check-cashing store where a couple is attempting to cash a reported stolen check. The male suspect claims he is a victim of circumstance trying to get money for a bus ticket, while his companion struggles to keep her story straight regarding how she knows him. Ultimately, a phone call to the actual account holder reveals the truth behind the scheme.
