A wrong turn - straight into our firearms officers. After a 999 call reported two males threatening someone with a suspected firearm, local officers, NPAS (police helicopter) and firearms officers moved quickly to find them. One moped crashed. The other was pursued through pedestrianised areas before firearms officers safely stopped it using tactical contact. Despite the potential firearms threat, police firearms officers brought the incident to a safe conclusion without shots being fired.
