During a routine patrol, a deputy from the Cobra unit observed a vehicle displaying a "test drive" tag, which is illegal in Georgia. Upon attempting to initiate a traffic stop, the vehicle failed to comply and instead accelerated, leading to a high-speed pursuit through the city of Riverdale. The deputy then performed a PIT maneuver flipping the vehicle and entrapping the suspects. Eventually the suspects were freed from the vehicle unharmed and placed in custody. A small amount of marijuana was found on one of the men. The suspect noted how upset his girlfriend would be upon learning of what happened to her new car.
