St. Louis was a city paralyzed by a predator who hunted in the shadows of the night. Between 2000 and 2002, a string of bodies appeared across Missouri and Illinois, each one a grim message left by a man who believed he was smarter than the law. This story follows the high-stakes collaboration between the FBI’s behavioral experts and local detectives as they chased a ghost who targeted the most vulnerable members of society. The investigation took a dark turn when a local reporter received a chilling letter from the killer himself, complete with a map leading to human remains.
