A drunk driving crash in Lakeland, Florida turns into a search through a pitch-black swamp -- with two small children in the middle of it. In the early morning hours of September 9, 2026, Lakeland Police responded to a single-vehicle rollover on Highway 33 near North Combee Road. The car had blown through a road-closure sign and sandbags before overturning in a construction zone. The driver was gone -- but two child car seats were still inside. A police drone launched over the dark woodline and found 27-year-old Isaac Kinsey about 30 minutes later, wading through swampy marshland carrying a 2-year-old and a 10-month-old. Police say he fell repeatedly, putting the children under the water, and at one point set the toddler down and kept going with the infant.
