Know your rights before police decide not to hear you. 📄 Resources, PDFs & support 👉 linktr.ee/ThinBlueLiesMedia 👍 Like 💬 Comment 📢 Share 🔔 Subscribe A former Bowie, Maryland police officer was convicted after firing at a man during a roadside incident near Collington Road and Route 50. According to reports, the man had walked near the officer and quickly explained he was picking up a hat that blew off while he was driving. A hat. Shortly after that, former officer Robert Warrington fired. The man dropped to the ground but thankfully was not hit. A car was damaged. After the shot, Warrington reportedly said the man had a gun, called for backup, and apologized. A Prince George’s County judge later found the use of deadly force was not objectively reasonable given the totality of the circumstances. Warrington was convicted of attempted second-degree murder and other charges. This is the part that matters: “I thought he had a gun” did not end the conversation this time. It started the conviction. 👀 Thin Blue Lies, Baby! #ThinBlueLies #PoliceAccountability #CivilRights #Bodycam #BowiePolice #Maryland #KnowYourRights #PoliceMisconduct #Constitution #Justice
