#CrimeCamNow On June 12, 2022, a Brookhaven Police Officer was called to investigate a hit and run accident in Atlanta, Georgia. A truck hit a parked Tesla and left the scene of an accident. Officers gathered all the evidence including witness statements, victim statements, photographs of the scene and video footage. A police officer called the suspect to notify him about a hit and run investigation involving his truck. Six months later, Brookhaven police officers on patrol scanned the license plate and obtained information about the owner's existing warrant for arrest. A truck was pulled over for further investigation. When an officer asked about a hit and run accident, the driver denied his involvement and thought it was a phony call. A police officer called an investigator to confirm the warrant status and took pictures of the vehicle's damage. He was charged with hit and run and duty to report an accident.
