In the early morning hours of *January 21, 2022*, an Athens-Clarke County police officer observed a **white Ford Mustang** run a red light at the intersection of *West Broad Street and Camila Road*. As the officer followed, the vehicle appeared to *swerve within its lane* and briefly *stopped in the roadway* before pulling over on Paris Street. During the stop, the 27-year-old driver admitted she had consumed *a shot of tequila* after finishing her shift at a local restaurant. Observing possible signs of impairment, the officer conducted **standardized field sobriety tests**, including the *Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus (HGN)*, *Walk-and-Turn*, and *One-Leg Stand* tests. Based on the driving behavior, the odor of alcohol, the presence of an *open container*, and the driver’s statements, she was placed under arrest for *DUI – Alcohol – Less Safe*.
