🚨 A routine traffic stop near a Georgia prison led deputies to uncover a high-tech smuggling operation involving drones, cell phones, and contraband. What started as a minor violation quickly turned into a felony investigation. 📖 Full Description On May 28, 2022, at approximately 4:44 AM, a deputy with the Houston County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a black Kia Sorento for missing tag lights and a broken tail light. During the stop, officers detected a strong odor, leading to a probable cause search of the vehicle. Inside, deputies uncovered vacuum-sealed tobacco bundles, a drone with an attached cable, and a duct-taped package containing prohibited items. Investigators with the Georgia Department of Corrections confirmed that the packaging matched previous drone smuggling operations, where contraband was airlifted over prison fences. 🔴 Watch the full investigation unfold and let us know what you think! • Should prisons implement advanced drone detection systems to prevent these smuggling attempts? • Do current laws do enough to deter high-tech smuggling crimes? 📺 About Our Channel ON PATROL: Crime Cam brings you real police bodycam footage, law enforcement encounters, and crime breakdowns.
