On April 19, 2025, New Mexico State Police (NMSP) Officer Avina observed the driver of a vehicle run a red light. He initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle, which was being driven by a 21-year-old woman. She was asked to step out of the vehicle, where she admitted to consuming one alcoholic mixed drink at the El Patio Bar. She was then asked to perform standardized field sobriety tests. At the conclusion of the tests, she was placed under arrest for Driving While Under the Influence. At the NMSP station, she agreed to submit breath samples in order to determine her level of intoxication. Her charges and the outcome of her case are discussed at the end of the video.
