*** Update*** According to court records, he pled not guilty. Following that, an assistant state attorney filed a no information... meaning, they are not pursuing charges. Great outcome for him! On January 17, 2024, officers with the Tallahassee Police Department spotted a vehicle that was reportedly stolen. Upon initiating a traffic stop, the vehicle quickly veered into a yard and the suspect fled on foot. Officers later located Kelly, a suspect, out of breath walking down a nearby road. The officers believe they have sufficient identifying evidence, despite witnesses stating that Kelly was not the suspect driving the vehicle. Kelly was charged with grand theft of a motor vehicle, giving a false I.D. to law enforcement, and resisting without violence.
