Randy was initially charged with two misdemeanors, one for exceeding the limit of Emporer Geese and one for violating permit conditions. He pled guilty to both charges and they were amended to non-criminal violations. He was ordered to pay $1,020 in costs and fees which were promptly paid. In the state of Alaska, migratory bird hunting is currently permitted from one-half hour before sunrise until sunset. Shawn received a non-criminal violation for taking migratory birds before the permitted time and paid a $74 fine.
