On December 16, 2023, Brunswick Police Officer Szuter stopped a vehicle with expired vehicle registration. He asked the driver if she had been drinking and she admitted to consuming one alcoholic beverage earlier in the evening. Then Officer Szuter observed open White Claw cans in the 34-yar-old woman's vehicle. She was asked to submit to standardized field sobriety tests and was subsequently arrested for Operating a Vehicle Impaired (OVI). At the police station, she submitted to an evidential breath test and blew a 0.244 % BAC. She answered a post arrest questionnaire and again stated she only had one drink. While sitting in the back of the police car waiting to be released, she again stated she only had 1 drink the whole evening.
