Case Summary — Baltimore Police Incident 3/10/26: On March 10, 2026, Baltimore police officers responded to a reported burglary at 6116 Park Heights Avenue in Baltimore, Maryland. When officers arrived, they came under gunfire from 33-year-old Jonathan Ingram, who police said was also the original caller. Authorities said Ingram remained inside the home with two women, both reportedly his relatives, and at one point attempted to hold them hostage. One woman managed to jump from the second floor into the backyard and was rescued by officers. During the standoff, Ingram allegedly fired again, striking Officer Brian Lore in the leg. Police said Ingram later barricaded himself in a second-floor room with the remaining hostage and at times appeared at the window holding a handgun to her head. Roughly 18 minutes after the officer was shot, a police sniper fired a single shot, killing Ingram. SWAT then entered the home, recovered a handgun near his body, and rescued the surviving hostage. Both women were taken to the hospital with minor injuries, and the case is now being investigated by the Maryland Attorney General’s Office.
