Newly unsealed police bodycam footage shows the aftermath of the 2023 Richneck Elementary School shooting in Newport News, Virginia, where a 6-year-old student shot his first-grade teacher. Officers enter the classroom and secure the handgun before taking the child into custody. During the encounter, the 6-year-old repeatedly curses at officers and a teacher, challenges them, and tells police that he stole the gun from his mother. The bodycam footage was later unsealed by a Virginia court after media organizations challenged the decision to keep it sealed. The child's face and identifying information have been blurred in accordance with the court's order. This video is presented for news reporting, public awareness and documentary purposes. #Bodycam #PoliceBodycam #BodycamFootage
