One officer contacted the driver, 42-year-old Jervon Harper and asked him to step out of the vehicle after smelling the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. Harper refused and began to physically fight with the officers as the officers attempted to detain him. During the struggle, one officer observed the suspect with a handgun. Both officers pulled out their duty weapons and one officer fired a single round at Harper, striking him. Harper was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. Officer Edgardo Valladares, who discharged his weapon during the incident, has been placed on administrative duty pending further investigation. Valladares, a three-year veteran of the force, will remain on administrative duty until the completion of the inquiry. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Special thanks to Shout-Out Supporters on Patreon: - 'DIY Solar Power with Will Prowse' - matthew emanuel - 'Jun' - 'Xenik' - 'Rom' - 'wvot' - 'Cartoonjunkies' - john ferroato - 'Fishy Tuna' - 'GotsNoGroove Cheryl' - Lynn Boyer - Exus Altimus - 'Dawesenm' - William Bowman - Paul Rohrbaugh - Sandra McGreevy - 'Krazy KZ' - Koby Bland - Christopher Payne - Zach Williams - Michael R Sheffield - Rich Biggs - 'JTrip' - Lee Roberts - Brant Eaton - James Pringle - 'AccuShoot.com' - Meighan Garrick - 'Sopaul' - Lisa Overly - Connor Davies - 'Necko' - Gerardo Flores - Anthony Eufemio - 'Donkbot' - Gage Kissinger - 'coco Coco' ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Support us at BuyMeACoffee: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/PoliceActivity Support us on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/PoliceActivity Follow us on Twitter: https://twitter.com/Police_Activity 🛍️ Check out our Amazon store: https://www.amazon.com/shop/PoliceActivity 🛍️ Disclosure: Please note that we will receive a small commission from purchases made through our Amazon store.
