*Reuploaded to correct a privacy issue in the original version* On June 10, 2025, around 10 PM, a Westfield, New Jersey police officer observed a vehicle driving unusually slow and obstructing traffic. As the officer continued to monitor the vehicle, it began to swerve and crossed over the double yellow line. A traffic stop was initiated—shortly after dispatch confirmed a 911 call had been placed about the same vehicle. This video captures the full on-scene investigation, led by Officer Albanese, with assistance from Officers Bagan, Beal and Sgt. Gill. The driver, a 35-year-old female, was unsteady on her feet and struggled to maintain her balance during the stop. She admitted to recent alcohol consumption and failed several field sobriety tests. She was arrested and charged with DUI, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane, obstructing traffic, failure to keep right, and careless driving. At police headquarters, she submitted to a breath test that revealed a BAC of 0.23% — nearly three times the legal limit of 0.08% in New Jersey. This was the driver's second DUI arrest in the State of New Jersey. ⚠️ As of the date this video was posted, the case is still pending in court. Help is available.
