Upon arrival, officers encountered the individual sitting on the ground, exhibiting uncooperative behavior, and showing a visible skinned knee. In an effort to de-escalate the escalating situation, officers engaged her, offering a medical assessment and attempting to arrange a safe ride home with her brother, presenting a clear alternative to detention. However, these attempts at de-escalation were met with continued offensive language and outright refusal to comply with directives.
