Unhinged Florida Cop Has Complete Meltdown! First Amendment Audit Fail In Clearwater, Florida back in January 2026, bodycam footage caught a pretty tense moment between a local cop and a guy on an e-bike. The rider had stopped to check out a traffic stop happening nearby and started asking questions. The officer didn't take it well. He accused the guy of obstructing the stop, said he knew where he lived and even brought up stuff about his family. The whole time the citizen stayed calm and kept asking if he was free to leave. Eventually he just rode off without getting detained or charged. After the video spread, the citizen filed a complaint with the Clearwater Police Department. An internal affairs investigation found the officer's behavior was out of line, and Officer Daniel Braniff ended up with a 40-hour suspension plus a required fitness evaluation. As of now in June 2026 there hasn't been any lawsuit or settlement made public, but the clip blew up online and got a lot of people talking about how cops should handle these situations.
