An O'Reilly Auto Parts store manager in Jacksonville, Illinois had a system — and it worked, until it didn't. Body cam footage and internal records document a scheme totaling $1,166.53 in losses to the company: fraudulent warranty exchanges for an alternator, a starter, and more — sometimes using store parts and tools swapped onto his personal vehicle, as well as family members. He removed jack stands from the store to use while working on his car in the parking lot on the clock. He borrowed tools and never returned them. He allegedly ran unauthorized employee discounts across at least 8 transactions. When confronted by loss prevention and police, he had an explanation for all of it — he was just helping. He was fired on the spot and later charged with Theft over $500 and Retail Theft. This video is for educational and informational purposes only.
