Woman gets caught trying to cash a fraudulent check at Synovus Bank in Douglasville, Georgia. Her boyfriend drove her to the bank & immediately after seeing the squad car asks the officer what's going on. Initially the officer is polite but curt with him. The boyfriend is very worried & says he needs to call his mommy. The officer is confused why he needs his mommy & explains to him again what's going on for the 4th time. He calls his dad to speak to his mom but after explaining to his father what's going on. He gets in the car immediately & leaves the scene of the crime. The officer chuckles and shares that with his fellow officers how the boyfriend who was so chatty in the beginning left the bank parking lot leaving his girlfriend to fend for herself. The lady was trying to leave the bank but met the officer at the entrance & tried to avoid arrest. The officer struggled to initially corral her but she eventually complies without incident. The officer investigates the issue with his fellow officers & they find that the check she tried to cash came from a Tree company. The officers see that the check was missing numbers which signaled a red flag & they called the Tree company who said they wanted to press chargers. Since the check was over $1500 she was charged with forgery in the 3rd degree which is a felony in the state of Georgia. She is then taken out of the initial officer & into the car of the primary officer who was busy training & was farther away then the initial officer. She is then immediately transported to the Douglas County jail.
