On June 2, 2024, Rochelle Park Police Officers were dispatched to a report of a woman yelling on the phone in the street. Officers observed a vehicle stopped in the middle of the street. As officers approached, the vehicle sped away and pulled into a grocery store parking lot. Officer Burke made contact with the woman, who was screaming at someone on the phone. Officer Burke's report indicates he could smell alcohol coming from the woman. She admitted to drinking earlier in the evening. She was asked to perform standardized field sobriety tests and was subsequently arrested for Driving While Under the Influence of Liquor. At the police station, she refused to submit to a breath test. Her list of charges is discussed at the end of the video. Her case is still open and all suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
