On Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at approximately 9:28 PM, officers with a local police department responded to a restaurant regarding a "theft of services" report. A server at the establishment had confronted a group in the parking lot for allegedly leaving without paying their bill. Upon police arrival, one individual in the group settled the outstanding balance of $142.34; however, restaurant staff requested that the parties involved be formally trespassed from the property. While issuing the warnings, officers conducted a routine records check which revealed that another member of the group had an active $600 warrant from a nearby city dating back to early 2023. That individual was subsequently arrested and transported to police headquarters for processing before being released on bail.
