A woman was stopped after allegedly walking out of Publix with $351 worth of unpaid groceries—but she insisted the entire thing was an innocent misunderstanding. According to her, she thought her friend had paid, she was distracted by an argument with her boyfriend, and she simply “forgot” to stop at the register. Unfortunately for her, surveillance footage told a much different story. And when the officer searched her purse, this questionable shopping trip became an even bigger problem. She was ultimately charged with shoplifting and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription. Her bond was set at $5,500. Do you believe she genuinely forgot to pay—or was she desperately inventing excuses after getting caught?
