According to police and court documents, 24-year-old Devon Blair was arrested and later pleaded guilty to killing his pregnant girlfriend, 19-year-old Brooke Devinney, and her unborn son, Aiden. Officers responded to a 911 text reporting that Blair was assaulting Devinney. Upon arrival, police found her unresponsive, and she and her unborn child died within two hours. Blair fled the scene but was captured hours later near a vacant home. The Franklin County Coroner’s Office determined that Devinney suffered a traumatic brain injury, scalp laceration, and multiple abrasions. Records indicated a history of domestic violence reports involving Blair, including prior threats to kill her. Blair was sentenced to 46 to 51.5 years in prison for this crime and received an additional two years for a prior domestic violence case.
