Before officers arrived, the suspect fled the scene in a gray Dodge Dakota, leaving the woman accompanying him behind. While speaking with the woman, officers escorted her to Walmart's Asset Protection office for questioning. During the investigation, officers discovered suspected cannabis, drug paraphernalia, prescription medication requiring further investigation, and confirmed an outstanding warrant. She was subsequently taken into custody on those unrelated matters and issued a trespass notice prohibiting her from entering Walmart. Meanwhile, investigators later identified the fleeing suspect through Walmart's investigation and surveillance evidence.
