On April 1st, 2023, deputies in Washington responded to reports of an erratic driver on Highway 20. The suspect's vehicle, a white Mercedes, was observed veering across lanes and even driving onto the sidewalk. A deputy identified the vehicle and activated his emergency lights, witnessing several instances of dangerous driving. Despite the deputy's attempts to stop the vehicle with lights and sirens, the suspect continued driving, leading to a pursuit. The suspect's vehicle fluctuated in speed and continued to exhibit dangerous behavior, narrowly avoiding collisions with other vehicles. The pursuit spanned several highways and back roads, with the suspect ignoring repeated commands to stop.
