Police bodycam footage shows a stolen car chase in Newburgh Heights, Ohio, that ended with a Kia crashed into the front of a house and three occupants running from the wreck. This real body cam video captures the foot pursuit, the moment officers learn how old the three of them are, and the answer the driver gave when a sergeant asked how an eleven-year-old knows how to steal a car. On December 20, 2025, at 2:54 in the afternoon, a Flock license plate reader alerted Newburgh Heights police to a stolen Kia Optima entering the village. The car had been reported stolen out of Parma. When officers tried to stop it, the driver accelerated west on Harvard Avenue, reaching speeds between 60 and 80 miles per hour, then lost control crossing Denison and struck a home at West 20th Street. Three occupants ran from the car. Officers caught all three within minutes. They were 12, 11 and 8 years old. The 11-year-old had been driving. [8:39] Where they learned it Officers sought charges of receiving stolen property and failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer, both fourth-degree felonies, and obstructing official business, a second-degree misdemeanor. All three were released to their guardians, and the offenses were forwarded to the prosecutor for review. No one in the home or the vehicle was injured.
