Akron Police inducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a turn signal violation at Huber St. and Archwood Ave. When the officers approached the vehicle on the driver's side and began speaking to the driver, Brian. As I was talking to him, The officer noticed that the passenger glanced over at the officer and then quickly pulled the hood of his jacket over his head in an attempt to hide his face from view. The passenger was also reaching towards the floorboard and between the seats while the officer was talking to the driver. The passenger identified himself as Dominic Caraballos but did not know his social security number. While officers spoke to him, Caraballos made an effort to find his face by leaning forward and not turning his head to speak to the officers. The officer ran the information that was provided and compared the picture and physical description of Dominic Caraballos to the passenger. Keith was bald with green eyes and was listed at 6'2", 230lbs. The officer went back to the passenger side of the vehicle and noticed he was not bald and had brown eyes, not green. The passenger also appeared to be much shorter than 6'2". At this point, the passenger had lit a cigarette and was frantically smoking it. The officer asked him to roll the window down put the cigarette out and exit the vehicle multiple times. After many requests, he finally rolled the window down and discarded the cigarette. He was removed from the vehicle and detained until he could be properly identified. Once outside of the vehicle, the passenger correctly identified himself as Carlos Caraballos and stated he had a probation violation warrant. He was placed under arrest. During the search incident to arrest, a syringe with a clear liquid in it was found in Caraballos's right jacket pocket. Officers read him his Miranda Rights and Caraballos stated the liquid in the syringe was meth. Caraballos was found to have multiple warrants including a nationwide pickup for assault on a corrections officer out of Morrow County. He was sent to the Summit County Jail. ⚠️Note: Footage from this video was obtained via the Ohio Public Records Act (R.C. 149.43) All persons featured on the channel are to be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
