On March 18th, 2025, officers on foot patrol were flagged down by bar security in a heavily crowded area during Spring Break. Security reported a man had been ejected from the premises after spitting on a bouncer. When officers made contact, the man became verbally aggressive and refused commands. What began as a disorderly conduct incident quickly escalated. The suspect fled from officers, leading to a brief foot pursuit through a densely packed sidewalk. When he continued to resist arrest, officers deployed a Taser to safely gain control.
